My style is simple, colorful, and real. Your baby is perfect just as he or she is, and I want to capture that for you. With the rate at which babies grow, it’s important that we make sure to get each stage on camera!
My love and passion for photography all started in 1997. An important friend passed away suddenly at a young age. After asking around from all of his friends, I realized that we didn’t even have enough photos from his short, but amazing, life to fill a complete book. It was a wakeup call to me about how short life is, and it made me want to capture each precious and amazing moment we have. So I turned to pictures. From that day on, I couldn’t be found anywhere without my camera.
As the years went on, friends called me the “tourist” and the “paparazzi”, making jokes about my abundant picture taking (all in good fun, of course!!). Those same friends would then love to see the pictures once they came back developed (oh, the fabulous and mysterious days of film!!).
The introduction of Facebook has brought the picture loving craze back into style. It has created a venue to easily display the memories we are making and get people excited about pictures again!
I have been photographing friends and family for years, making sure our memories last forever. As I was approaching my 30th birthday, my sister asked if I had ever considered going into photography professionally. That really got me thinking. Could I really do that? Could I have a profession that I love and am passionate about? And off I went. I bought the right equipment, talked to other photographers, read books, took classes and most of all practiced, practiced, practiced. My niece and nephew have been the perfect subjects for most of that practicing ; )
This journey of following my passion has been really exciting, and I am just so happy to be doing what I love!
